Kid Cudi Says Hip-Hop is Holding Black People Back

Kid Cudi on why hip-hop, and not poverty or institutional racism or the break down of the family, is what's holding Black people back. 

Cudi has never been one to hold his tongue with regards to his genre-bending music, past drug use and his love for his young daughter.

When asked about the current state of hip-hop, “Mr. Rager” gave a very honest answer, arguing the glorification of wealth and promiscuous women is preventing the African-American community from progressing in a positive way.
