Reality star Larsa Pippen, 44, addressed rumors surrounding her split from retired NBA superstar Scottie Pippen, 53, on Wednesday.
Larsa attempted to divorce the six-time NBA champion in October 2016, but the couple reconciled three months later. Between that time, the former Real Housewives of Miami star was linked to rapper Future and accused of having an affair that wrecked her 19-year marriage.
The couple, who shares four children—Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin and Sophia—appeared at the time to have worked out the issues between them.
The reconciliation apparently has failed because Scottie refiled for divorce on Nov. 2, according to US Weekly.
“We have both tried very hard for a long time to make our marriage work,” the 44-year-old told the publication. “And have ultimately come to the conclusion that it is best that we live separate lives.”
Just days later, Larsa hit back at swirling rumors that resurfaced surrounding the separation including infidelity and gold digger accusations.
“Ppl are so insensitive to my life,” Larsa wrote on Instagram Stories. “I’m a lover and will never say anything negative about [Scottie.] My soul isn’t built for negativity.”
The mother of four denied cheating on her husband. “I’ll take a beating publicly. Ppl saying I cheated when believe me it wasn’t like that.”
Larsa said Scottie wasn’t as supportive as the public believes. “He was no where around. I cried oceans after him,” she wrote.
For all the allegations that she was with the former Chicago Bulls’ star for money she said, “Ppl saying I’m a gold digger is inane. I don’t care about money. I’ve had it my whole life.”
Regarding their mutual decision to go ahead with a divorce, Larsa revealed she felt alone in her union.
“I spent my bday, New Year’s Eve, times when I needed him alone. At some point, I decided I had to live my truth and here I am.”
There are no reports on planned custody, but E! Online reports that since the divorce filing both Scottie and Larsa have been spotted out at separate social events.
