Timeless beauty LisaRaye McCoy recently celebrated her 50th birthday with friends, family and loved ones over three fabulous days dedicated to the actress.
Hoping to switch it up from the typical Hollywood club scene, the Sept. 23rd baby kept things cute and comfy Friday night with a fun-filled pajama party.
“Friday night’s idea came from being the pajama party girl. I love to get together with close friends and family,” McCoy said.
Plenty of friends and family donned their best PJs and showed up for the birthday girl, including Kym Whitley, Da Brat and more.
“I also grew up watching the television show I Dream of Jeannie. BAM! Moroccan theme. Vibrant colors, fabric blowing, lots of pillows, softness under your feet and everyone has to wear pajamas.”
While Friday night’s pajama party was a cool and casual event, McCoy and crew turned up on Saturday during her juke joint-inspired bash.
“I’m from Chicago and we love house music, so I had to have The Chosen Few in the house,” she said.
Friends 2 Chainz and Pepa were also in attendance. “I wore jeans with stretch just so I can move to do the percolator…I didn’t sit down the entire night,” McCoy shared.
Day 3 involved the Chi-town actress and friends having a ball on Hollywood Blvd.
“Dave & Buster’s and Lucky Strikes, here comes the kid in us all!”
“Casual, cool and calm we played until I was simply pooped out. Happy 50th. Thank you!”
