Part one of the Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood reunion aired last night, and jumped off to an explosive start right away. For most of the show, I found myself distracted, questioning why the make-up artist on set hadn’t been arrested for blatant abuse of Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder. But after a few minutes, I was eventually able to regain my focus.

The reunion began with us hearing from the stars, particularly Ray J and Teairra Marí. Ray J recapped all the mean things he’s done to Teairra in the past and (once again) apologized. Teairra (once again) accepted his apology, but this time without swapping spit. Thank goodness. As far as Teairra and Ray J’s girlfriend Princess, don’t expect them to hug it out any time soon.

Yung Berg feels the need to be a messy little schoolgirl and reveals that his ex-whatever-she-was, Hazel, slept with Ray J in the past. Now, Hazel confirms this is a fact, but it actually happened back in college and Teairra knew about it. Berg also felt the need to confirm that Teairra was pleasuring him in back alleys recently. Messy messy!

The gloves came off when Masika and Nikki Mudarris had their showdown. Masika didn’t only have to deal with just Nikki, but Nikki’s mom as well. As far as TV moms go, Nikki’s is living proof that money can’t buy class. Between jumping into an argument between 20-something-year-olds and calling Masika every name in the book, it was uncalled for (and slightly disgusting) when Nikki’s mom suggested that both she and Masika should take off their clothes and see who has the better body. Not today ma’am, not today.

Part two of the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood reunion airs tonight on VH1—then next Monday, we switch gears and take the franchise back to its birthplace in New York City. Will NY compare to Hollywood? We’ll have to see December 15th!
