A modern day remake of a classic Western is coming soon to a theatre near you, and a handful of first look images were released earlier today. Antoine Fuqua directs an A-list cast, including Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman and Chris Pratt (“Guardians of the Galaxy,”) in “The Magnificent Seven.” Most interesting? Most of the guys have solidly joined #beardgang and Denzel, who portrays gunslinger Sam Chisholm in this remake, looks quite nice in his despite some disparaging memes made about his extra facial hair last year.

Your dad or granddad can probably wax poetic about the original incarnation of this film, released in 1960, which was an Americanized version of the Japanese film “Seven Samurai.” That original featured a cast of all-White gunslingers who save a town in the middle of nowhere. This re-creation features a diverse cast that includes South Korean actor Byng-hun Lee, Mexican actor Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Native American actor Martin Sensmeier.

The Magnificent Seven releases September 23.
