In time for Black Music Month, ALLBLK, a streaming service that serves the Black community, will offer fans an in-depth look into the life and career of Marsha Ambrosius—including struggles she experienced with racial identity by way of their docuseries, "A Closer Look."

"My understanding of Black wasn't this," Ambrosius says in the trailer while pointing to the skin on her hand. "It was a feeling." Based on the trailer, it also appear that the Floetry singer experienced rejection within her community. "She struggled early because people would say, 'You're not one of us,'" says her brother, Marvin Paul Ambrosius.

Set to air on Thursday, June 10, this will be the fourth installment of "A Closer Look" to premiere on ALLBLK.

"Each episode consists of a one on one sit-down interview between the artist and producer of the show, and will also highlight music videos, live performances, studio sessions, archival interviews, B-roll footage, and guest interviews," a statement released by the streaming service explains.

Artists previously profiled by the series include New Edition's Ralph Tresvant, Brian McKnight, Eric Benét.
