Mary J. Blige Addresses Rumors of Fight With Faith Evans

Mary J. Blige is setting the record straight on social media rumors that she and Faith Evans came to blows during a party thrown by mutual friend Sean “Diddy” Combs.

During a quick Q&A with Page Six, the Yonkers-bred songstress says there was no hateration or holleration between her and Evans. In fact, she wasn’t even in town for Combs’ soiree.

“Of course that was made up. I was shooting a movie in Louisiana. I just got here today.”

Rumors of a fight between the two singers began shortly after Nicki Minaj and Cardi B engaged in an actual confrontation during New York Fashion Week. Buzzfeed reports Cardi approached Minaj’s table at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS NYFW party to question the Queen rapper about “the lies Nicki was spreading.”  Things soon escalated into a full-blown argument, with security keeping the “Bodak Yellow” spitter away from Minaj, who refused to physically engage her rap nemesis.Video from TMZ shows Cardi telling Minaj, “B*tch, come here,”  and the “Hard White” rhymer responding, “I’m staying right here!”

Minaj has since addressed the melee, calling the moment “mortifying” and “humiliating,” on her Beats 1 Queen Radio show. Skip to the 10:03 mark below to hear Nicki discuss the incident.
