Beyonce & Jay-Z have proven time and time again that they know how to party, recently celebrating good friend Mary J. Blige’s moving performance in Mudbound and the Oscar nods that followed.
The Yonkers-bred singer was nominated for both Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Song, and while she didn’t take home a trophy, plenty of friends and fans have been congratulating the diva on her “Glow Up,” including Reasonable Doubt collaborator Hov and Queen Bey.
US Weekly reports the lavish affair was held in the underground garage at the Chateau Marmont, which was decorated to resemble “very classy, old-school Hollywood glamour lounge.” Only 150 people were invited to the exclusive affair, with guest being required to hit the dance floor.
When asked about the celebration in her honor, Blige told Entertainment Tonight, “The fam is doing something big for us tonight, I feel really blessed to have people that care about me that much. I care about them that much and it just feels really good.”
