Judge Genece Brinkley is sticking to her guns, recently denying Meek Mill the opportunity to post bail in his efforts to walk the streets as a free man.
TMZ reports the Pennsylvania judge didn’t release an exact reason for her decision, but she has been adamant that the “Dreams & Nightmares” MC deserves to serve his 2-4 year sentence, regardless of public outcry. Court documents obtained by TMZ says there’s “zero evidence” Brinkley has ruled unjustly or has a personal grudge against the rapper. His attorney, Joe Tacopina, disagrees.
“This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill’s case into a personal vendetta.”
Tacopina went on, “In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented.”
Meek’s team will reportedly appeal the decision to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
