Williams and Blake play parents of Central Park Five member Antron McCray in new Netflix mini-series ‘When They See Us.’

Michael K. Williams and Marsha Stephanie Blake took on the roles as parents of Central Park Five member Antron McCray in the new Netflix mini-series When They See Us.

In this sit-down with EBONY, Williams discusses his role as Bobby McCray, the father who actually encouraged his son to confess to a crime he didn’t commit, straining their relationship for years. Blake also shares her experience getting to know the woman she played, Linda McCray, who fought tooth-and-nail for her son’s freedom, even when Antron himself gave up hope.
