Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams may appear to be living her best life with fiancé Chad Johnson, but her years-long battle with depression may have just resurfaced. As a result, the songstress has checked into a facility in an effort to monitor her mental health.
TMZ reports the Rockford, IL native is receiving treatment for depression just outside of Los Angeles and has been there for the past several days.
The singer also took to Instagram this week to share that she’s sought out professional help.
“For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it’s time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your well being. I recently listened to the advice I have given to thousands around the world and sought help from a great team of healthcare professionals.”
Williams has been very transparent with her struggles, revealing on The Talk that she was once depressed to the point of wanting to commit suicide.
