Mo’Nique has called out several members of Black Hollywood for contributing to her being blackballed within the industry, taking specific aim at Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels and Oprah Winfrey.
Winfrey was recently asked about the comedian’s comments, saying she refuses to acknowledge the “negative energy” being thrown her way.
The TV icon inspired tons of fans with her response, prompting one to take a dig at Mo’Nique in defense of the A Wrinkle in Time star.
“Warriors of the Light, and it takes a great amount of darkness to overcome the light! Yep so we can see clearly who is shining vs who is whining, I love me some Oprah.”
The Oscar-winner later replied to the fan by implying Oprah is fake, comparing her to shiny costume jewelry.
“My love. Fake gold shines too, but it doesn’t change the fact that it will turn your neck green. @Oprah you keep shining.”
