Nas is furious with his ex-wife Kelis for allegedly violating the custody agreement they have in place for their 9-year-old son, Knight.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Kelis wants to permanently relocate to Cartagena, Colombia, to live on a farm with her current husband and her two sons. The singer reportedly had already taken Knight to the South American country without informing his father.
Nas claims that he was supposed to have the 9-year-old for New Year’s Eve but received a text message from his former wife that plans had changed. Instead, the boy was in Colombia with his mother until Jan. 14. He also alleges she never gave him prior notice of the visit.
The rapper said the singer-turned-chef removed Knight from his private school in Los Angeles and is homeschooling him from the farm. The former couple has had numerous other custody issues.
In September 2018, Nas blasted Kelis over her alleged inability to amicably co-parent. Five months earlier, the Harlem-born songstress accused the Queens rapper of being mentally and physically abusive during their marriage.
For years after their 2009 divorce, the two were embroiled in a heated custody and child support battle. The pair agreed on joint custody in 2018.
Nas is requesting a judge find Kelis in contempt for the numerous violations.
