NeNe Leakes announced the cancellation of two of her upcoming comedy shows in New York because her husband, Gregg Leakes, has been in the hospital for more than two weeks. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared a video on Instagram to explain the circumstances.
In the video uploaded on Monday (May 21), NeNe revealed she would not be performing in Albany, New York (May 23rd) nor at Caroline’s on Broadway in New York City (May 24th). “I have to cancel my Albany, New York, and my New York City Caroline’s show,” she said. “Today marks the 15th day – straight – that Gregg has been in the hospital. I find it very difficult to stand on stage and laugh and have a good time with giving you guys your money worth – knowing that my husband is in the hospital not feeling well.”
On the tenth season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Gregg was admitted for “chest pain and numbness,” and NeNe addressed speculation concerning his health. She has also spoken out publicly about caring for her husband as he battles heart issues and him still encouraging her to pursue her career as a standup comedian. She also thanked her fans for supporting her shows and sending well wishes to her family.
