She ready! Tiffany Haddish is set to film an hour-long stand-up special for the streaming giant, Netflix, reported The Hollywood Reporter.
The Night School star will begin taping for the show at the top of 2019. Haddish has had a breakout career since her co-starring role in the comedy Girls Trip, which is officially scheduled for a sequel.
“Tiffany Haddish is a force,” said Lisa Nishimura, the Netflix VP of original documentary and comedy. “Hilariously funny, brash and self-effacing, she’s an incredible artist who is winning over audiences while breaking barriers, and we are tremendously proud that she will showcase her formidable talent on Netflix.”
Haddish’s previous stand-up special, She Ready, aired on Showtime to rave reviews. She is currently working on another Netflix project with comedian Ali Wong, where she will voice a lead character in Tuca & Bertie, an animated comedy.
