New Edition Lifers and fans of the hit BET miniseries, The New Edition story, get ready. According to an Instagram post by Mike Bivins, the family is hitting the road later this year.

While no details has been shared about dates, tour stops or the actual line-up, Bivins’ post makes it seem like the whole crew–Ronnie, Johnny, Mike, Ricky, Ralph, Johnny and Bobby, along with the cast of The New Edition Story–is joining forces for the show.

Since BET’s miniseries aired back in January, fans have been clamoring to see the cast and the real New Edition members hit the stage together. Cast mates Luke James, Elijah Kelly, Woody McClain, and Keith Powers have been rolling deep since the film aired, but is a tour actually happening?

Last month at the ABFF Honors ceremony in Beverly Hills, Luke James talked about the possibility of the cast sharing the stage with the real N.E.

“We’re looking at some things we want to do,” the singer told EBONY. “We understand we’ve done something that’s important to the culture and to our generation and to the generations to come. And what we want to do is just keep that going. So yeah, going on the road is something we want to do.”

Ralph Tresvant also echoed Luke James’ optimism about a possible tour.

“We gotta capitalize off of all of this noise. We can’t sit around and let it be still,” he said back in February. “We’re in talks about a lot of great things to keep it going to add to the legacy.”

So does this mean it’s really happening? Stay tuned!
