Obama Calls Kanye a “Jackass” Again

It has been more than two years since Kanye West's infamous, "I'ma let you finish" rant at the MTV Video Music Awards where he stole Taylor Swift's thunder, yet he's still a "jackass" in the eyes of President Obama. In the upcoming May issue of The Atlantic, the president elaborates on his position, saying, "He's very talented. He is a jackass, but he's talented."

While it's no secret that Obama enjoys listening to Kanye's BFF, Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, over the Chicago native, it was after that 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in which Obama originally called him a "jackass" in a CNBC interview. "I thought that was really inappropriate," Obama said at the time. "You know it was like she's getting an award — why are you butting in? The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person. She's getting her award. What's he doing up there? He's a jackass."
