Oprah is just like the rest of us, kind of. The media magnate recently told Vogue magazine that she enjoys being home and doing “nothing” on the porch of her $90 million Montecito, California, estate.

“‘Most people don’t even know what makes them happy. But I can just sit on my porch and I’ll start reading a book and then realize, OK, I’m not reading anymore. I can just take it all in. I can just be,” Oprah said of her downtime.

When mogul isn’t making historic deals with Apple or running her OWN network, she often shares the joys of harvest day with her followers on social media.

“I live in a very beautiful space that I created, and every time I leave home and I’m driving out the back with the pond and the ducks, and I’m looking at the grass and I see the house on the hill, I have this moment where I think about when Dorothy says in The Wizard of Oz, ‘I learnt I didn’t have to look further than my own backyard,” Oprah told Vogue.

She also assured the publication that she is the happiest person she knows and affirmed how grateful she is to experience the life that she has. Earlier this year, as a reminder of what could have been Oprah revealed she reads slave manuscripts.
