The nominations for the 2019 Oscars were announced Tuesday (Jan. 22) morning by black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross and The Big Sick actor Kumail Najiani from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California.

Regina King was received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in the Barry Jenkins-directed film If Beale Street Could Talk, which also scored a nod for Best Adapted screenplay. Marvel’s Black Panther received seven nominations including Best Picture, making it the first superhero film in history to be nominated in the category.

Although the 2019 nominees were announced this morning, there is no information on who will host the prestigious event since Kevin Hart stepped down from the position in December 2018.

The 91st annual Academy Awards show will air on Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
