Fans of Phaedra Parks may miss her presence on Real Housewives of Atlanta this season, but the former reality star has little need to return to the Bravo hit.
“I have no desire to,” she told TMZ when asked if she’d ever return to the show. “I mean, I’ve turned the page. I love being happy. I love living drama-free. My kids are happy, and I am able to enjoy life.”
She added that the conflict-filled series often affected her health, saying, “It made me sick sometimes, you know? It’s a lot to deal with.”
Parks was let go from the successful franchise after spreading rumors about fellow castmate and ex-best friend, Kandi Burruss, including that the Grammy winner and her husband, Todd Tucker, wanted to drug and take advantage of Porsha Williams.
“She got caught in so many treacherous lies this season that even the producers (including Andy Cohen) have had enough,” a source told B. Scott at the time. “She even brought ‘fake’ divorce papers to the reunion to prove a point. No one knows whether she’s telling the truth about anything anymore.”
Fortunately, the mother of two has landed on her feet, recently locking down a contract with Wilhelmina Models. Still, she gives respect to the current housewives for keeping up the good fight in her absence: “Any woman who does reality should be congratulated and praised because, honey, it’s a lot to it and people don’t really understand it until they’ve tried it.”
