During a recent interview with EBONY, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams discussed her choice to share photos of herself in her most natural state after giving birth to baby Pilar, saying she has full intentions of “snapping back” into shape, but doesn’t believe it’s something new mothers should be overly concerned about.

“We, the public, are very obsessed with the snapback, and that is okay because I’m about to snapback, but I’m also about if you don’t snapback right away. For me, I wanted to just shock my fans, shock my followers…before I showed them a slay picture after pregnancy, I wanted to show them wat I look like sitting around the house. That’s no makeup on, holding my baby, probably got throw up on me or what not.”

The new mom also discussed co-star NeNe Leakes body-shaming her before and after giving birth, addressing text messages where Leakes called the new mom a “big fat hungry b*tch” and a “big piggy with the busted shape.”

“I cannot even imagine making fun or talking about a woman’s body while she’s pregnant or postpartum. After we have children, our hormones are all over the place, we don’t even feel like ourselves, we are very sensitive to any type of criticism because we’re trying to be the best mom we can be, and you already feel like you’re not perfect at that.”

She went on, “Body-shaming any mom, I think that’s wrong, but, you never know what other people are dealing with. You don’t know why they attacking you, hell, she must not like her body if she coming at somebody else."
