A biopic on historic baseball player Jackie Robinson has been in the works for sometime now. With "42" now beginning production in Atlanta, President Barack Obama will be visiting the set, a request that was put in by the White House staff themselves. When asked whether or not a visit from the President would be okay, the head of Thomas Tull, the head of Legendary Entertainment (the production company responsible for the movie) said,  “Well, of course I said it would be OK."

Chadwick Boseman will star as the title character in "42," a movie whose name derives from Robinson's jersey number. Harrison Ford will also star as Dodger's General Manager Branch Rickey. At several recent campaign speeches, Obama has spotlighted Robinson as an individual largely responsible for "laying the groundwork" for a Black man to become president. The film is set to be released on April 12, 2013, shortly after next year's MLB season opener
