prince-new-special, fentanyl, Prince

Prince is legend. And in all honesty it’s still hard to believe that his physical presence is no longer with us.

But, one thing is for sure, his legacy lives on forever. As the one-year anniversary of his passing approaches on April 21, commemorative celebrations are taking place throughout the week. Kicking things off is the three-day celebration at the new rehabilitated Paisley Park featuring a series of panel discussions, tours and memorable performances.

But, for those who won’t be making that trip to Minnesota, FM and Fuse Tv will  offer a series of content.  “The Prince Effect,” premiering on FM,  features interviews from DJ BenHaMeen, oral historian Zaheer Ali and vinyl enthusiast Tasha Digital. The half-hour special will also dive into Prince’s “unparalleled impact” on music along with his innovative way of thinking and fearlessness when it came to pushing the culture forward.

Over at Fuse TV, the celebration cuts the talk and gets into the music.  Ahead of the “Prince Effect”, viewers can party it up and take a trip down memory lane with #WeMissYouPrince, a series airing on Fuse TV,  highlighting a variety of iconic music videos from the influential musician such as “Little Red Corvette”, “Diamonds and Pearls”, When Doves Cry” and the signature “Purple Rain.” Ah yes, the magic of his visual storytelling was just as compelling as his lyrical power.

Keep up with the commemorative celebration here and here.
