Queen Latifah Shuts Down Rumors

Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah wants to get one thing straight; she did NOT come out as a lesbian at last month's Long Beach Pride Event. The actress-rapper turned singer was invited to host the event that celebrates the gay community in the California city. Although past performers have included Jennifer Hudson, Maya, and India.Arie, Queen's sexuality was a topic of discussion…again.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, she attempted to set the record straight. "That definitely wasn’t the case.  I’ve never dealt with the question of my personal life in public. It’s just not gonna happen.” She went on to add, "To me, doing a gay pride show is one of the most fun things. My first show that paid more than $10,000 was in a gay club on New Year’s Eve in San Francisco.”
