Families of R. Kelly’s Alleged Sex Slaves Involved in Sexual Misconduct Docuseries

GETTY

The sexual misconduct allegations that have hovered over R. Kelly throughout much of his career will be the subject of not only a new Lifetime movie but of a docuseries produced by the network.

As a part of its Violence Against Women public affairs campaign, Lifetime will feature programming designed to teach women how to spot abusive behavior, including an investigative series into the women “who have fallen under the toxic spell of R&B singer R. Kelly,” to be executive produced by author dream hampton.

The YBF reports several families of his alleged victims – including those who are allegedly a part of his sex cult – will be involved in the docuseries. One scene features footage of Michelle Gardner looking for her daughter, Dominique Gardner. Angelo Clary – the father of 20-year-old Azriel Clary, who reportedly met Kelly when she was 17-years-old and moved in with him soon after – will also be featured.

The two projects come weeks after the resignations of three key members of Kelly’s team and just after an alleged victim claimed the “Ignition” singer gave her an STD. The songwriter has been accused of having inappropriate relationships with underage girls and of-age women believed by some to be held against their will in a sex cult. Kelly has claimed the women who live with him are “consenting adults.”
