The news outlet disclosed that Dolph’s passing was confirmed by three independent law enforcement sources.

According to the reports, Maurice Hill, the owner of Makeda’s Butter Cookies, where the shooting took place, recounted that Young Dolph entered his store to purchase some cookies. Immediately thereafter, an unidentified gunman came into the bakery and then shot and killed him at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the bakery in South Memphis.
A Lamborghini that was parked outside of the bakery was identified as Young Dolph’s when the authorities arrived.
The Memphis Police Department said another person was with Young Dolph at the time of the shooting. Because of the fatal incident, traffic in the area was redirected
In 2016, Young Dolph burst on the hip hop scene with his debut studio album, King of Memphis. He was featured on O.T. Genasis’ hit single “Cut It”, which peaked at number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. His latest album, Rich Slave, was released in 2020 and became his highest-charting LP, debuting at number four on the Billboard 200.
Young Dolph last performance was at Rolling Loud New York 2021 at Citi Field in Queens last month.
