After dropping “Wake Me Up” last week, Remy Ma and Lil’ Kim return with the accompanying visual.
The Eif Rivera-directed clip finds the female rap stars chilling in the Bronx, cruising through the borough in Lamborghini and kicking in a warehouse. With high fashion looks and stares that could kill, the Kim and Remy did not come to play. Remy is also seen posing with guns and a ski mask, which she later confirmed were water pistols. A crown is also broken and set ablaze, which could be a metaphor for taking the crown.
“Wake Me Up” arrived as a remake of Lil’ Kim’s “Queen Bitch” anthem from her debut album Hard Core. It will appear on Remy’s forthcoming sophomore album, 7 Winters & 6 Summers, due out in early 2018. Remy confirmed more videos will soon follow as she’s been filming clips every two weeks. Her next single will feature Chris Brown.
