NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen has revealed his side of the story about the alleged altercation he was involved in Sunday outside a Malibu, Calif. Restaurant.

According to a story in Tuesday's New York Daily News, an unidentified source said Pippen was approached by a man who began taking photos of him and his family, and then followed Pippen outside, taking more photos and asking for an autograph.

A physical altercation reportedly followed, the fan spit on Pippen and called him the N-word while Pippen was holding his four-year-old daughter, the source said, and Pippen and his family left the scene. He later contacted police authorities about the incident.

In a police report, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies stated the man who approached Pippen appeared to be intoxicated.

Initial media reports stated that the man who approached Pippen allegedly suffered broken teeth and was knocked unconscious by Pippen.
