Serena Williams narrated Nike’s female-powered Dream Crazier commercial, which aired on Sunday night during the Oscars.
“If we show emotion, we’re called dramatic,” Williams said in the opening lines of the advert. “If we want to play against men, we’re nuts. And if we dream of equal opportunity: delusional.”
According to a press release obtained by EBONY, the ad spot “shines a spotlight on female athletes who have broken barriers, brought people together through the power of sport, and inspired generations of athletes to chase after their dreams.”
The Dream Crazier series is part of Nike’s iconic marketing campaign, Just Do It. The athletic brand hopes to continue to champion female athletes and change the game for women in sports.
The commercial features a compilation of some of the other greatest athletes in the world including gymnast Simone Biles, fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad and snowboarder Chloe Kim.
