Nicki Minaj is arguably one of the most successful graduates of New York’s prestigious LaGuardia High School (a school that counts Laurence Fishburne, Jennifer Aniston, Diahann Carroll, Slick Rick, Marlon Wayans and Kelis among its many notable alums). Undoubtedly there are a lot of current students who’d love to hear the first lady of YMCMB talk about her experiences with the school and the music industry. However, the reigning female MC is claiming that her offer to speak at the school was declined (with LaGuardia countering that they offered her the opportunity to come on a weekend, which she declined.)

Long Island’s Hempstead High School has responded to the controversy by publicly inviting Minaj to speak to their student body.

Does Minaj’s success make her a good fit for addressing a group of teenagers? Or do her sexually-charged image and catalog make her off-limits? Sound off!
