Grammy award-winning singer Solange will not perform at this year’s Coachella music festival. Organizers took to Twitter Sunday night citing “major production delays” as the explanation for her decision to pull out of the show.
“Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year’s festival,” the tweet said. “She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.”
Festival organizers have yet to announce who will replace the singer. She was scheduled to perform Saturday during the festival’s opening weekend.
Other performers include: Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Janelle Monáe, Jaden Smith, Pusha-T, Blood Orange, Kaytranada, Anderson .Paak, Juice WRLD, Playboi Carti, Bad Bunny and Sheck Wes.
Fashion designer Virgil Abloh and actor Idris Elba are also slated to attend and will host deejay sets at the event.
Solange graced the Coachella stage last year during Beyoncé’s historic headlining performance. Prior to that, she performed at the event in 2014, at which her big sis joined in with choreography for her single “Losing You.”
