NBA superstar Steph Curry has just signed a multiyear development and production deal with Sony Pictures. The deal is reported by Variety to be the “biggest media deal of any athlete to date,” though the monetary aspects of it were not disclosed.

Curry’s production company, Unanimous Media, will be based on the back lot of Sony Pictures Studios. The 30-year-old started the company with Jeron Smith (CEO) and Erick Peyton (CCO).  He hopes to use the deal to focus in on themes such as faith, family and sports in media. The partnership also includes gaming, virtual reality and electronics, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In a statement to the publication about the deal, Curry said: “I’ve been blessed to have this platform and I want to use it to affect the world positively. Partnering with Sony to share inspiring content with a global audience was a foregone conclusion.”

Tom Rothman, Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group chairman,  said the company is honored to work with Curry who has become a huge figure in pop culture. “Steph is a transcendent figure in current culture. His wide-ranging content creation interests overlap well with our varied businesses and we have been equally impressed with his team. We are honored to have been drafted and now we know how lucky Golden State feels every day.”

Curry becomes the latest NBA player to take a leap into Hollywood. LeBron James has a production company, SpringHill Entertainment, that is working on scripted series for HBO and Netflix.
