Sterling K. Brown is in negotiations to voice a character in Frozen 2, Disney’s sequel to the 2013 box-office hit, according to a report published on Friday by Variety.
The This Is Us star, and Westworld’s Evan Rachel Wood are the new names added to the casting report. Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna) and Josh Gad (Olaf) will be returning to their starring roles.
Director and co-writer of the film, Jennifer Lee made headlines earlier this year after saying she was open to Queen Elsa having a girlfriend in the sequel. Frozen generated close to $1.3 billion worldwide and won the Academy Award for the best animated film in 2014. The movie has been adapted for Broadway stage and earned three Tony Award nominations this year.
On Thursday, it was announced that both Brown and Wood received Emmy Award nominations for this year’s award.
Frozen 2 is scheduled to release on November 27, 2019.
