We truly are in the era of reboots. Several shows and movies from yesteryear have made their way back onto our screens in recent months.
Early 2000’s hit The West Wing may be the next series to get the revival treatment. Series creator Aaron Sorkin recently shared with The Hollywood Reporter that he has a standing offer to bring the hit back to NBC.
Sorkin also shared his vision for the update, revealing that Sterling K. Brown would be the ideal candidate to play the POTUS this time around.
“Sterling K. Brown as the president, and there’s some kind of jam, an emergency, a very delicate situation involving the threat of war or something, and [President] Bartlett [played by Martin Sheen], long since retired, is consulted in the way that Bill Clinton used to consult with Nixon.”
Brown currently stars as Randall Pearson on NBC hit This Is Us, which would make it pretty difficult for the actor to head up another series. Still, he’s willing to make it work, responding to Sorkin via Twitter.

If The West Wing is brought back, it will join shows such as Full House, Will & Grace and others that have been updated for today’s audience.
