SZA and Kendrick Lamar star in a kung fu-inspired visual for their collaboration “Doves in the Wind.” The song is the third single from the SZA’s Grammy-nominated album Ctrl and is dedicated to vaginas.
The 27-year-old is known for making movie references throughout her music. It appears the Nabil-directed video holds true to that with an ode to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. In the video, Kendrick is in full Kung Fu Kenny mode as SZA’s trainer as they engage in an intense fight scene in the desert. All three artists have worked together before on the visual for “All the Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack.
Kendrick and SZA will be hitting the road together on their label TDE’s The Championship Tour this spring.
