‘#TellBlackStories’ Podcast to Feature Ava DuVernay & Others

A new podcast released by Color of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice group, will feature some of our best and brightest sharing their perspectives on #TellBlackStories.

“The podcast will focus on groundbreaking topics facing Black America today, such as: the 2019 Oscars, Blackness and gender, narratives that shape our criminal justice system and how Black women are leading and politically organizing in 2020,” reads a press release.

Season One of the series was captured at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and features interviews with Selma director Ava DuVernay, political analyst Symone Sanders, writer dream Hampton and others.

“The stories that are told at the Oscars and across the media landscape dictate the written and unwritten rules of this country – affecting the decisions that teachers, police, judges, and employers make every day”, said Color Of Change President Rashad Robinson. “We created the #TellBlackStories podcast to uplift the storytellers and leaders who are reshaping how we think about society via the entertainment industry and beyond.”
