Back to the “Boogie Down Bronx” we go when season two of Netflix’s The Get Down returns.

Netflix dropped the first teaser for the second part of Baz Luhhrmann’s hit series that centers on the origins of hip-hop in the 1970s. Beats, desire, soul and sound breath life into the “Get Down” crew as they navigate personal struggles while keeping their eye on the artistry and their music dreams.

This go ’round, Mylene’s career takes off and she’s the center of attention as a disco star. Zeke is straddling two worlds – the corporate which is directing him to a life of politics and the music that feeds his soul and the streets of New York. Friendships and loyalty are tested in deep waters where shady deals come from every direction and making the right moves play as life lines.

Get wrapped up in The Get Down when part II premieres April 7. For now, check out the trailer below.
