Marvel Dropped the ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Trailer and It’s GOOD

Thor
Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth

Marvel Studios has successfully mined its archives to roll out film and TV projects fans love. In addition to the popular Avengers series, Marvel also has allowed each of the heroes to shine on their own, while weaving in familiar faces from the universe. While we await the arrival of Black Panther next year, the comic book giant is returning to Asgard for Thor: Ragnarok.

In this film, the hero (Chris Hemsworth), has a problem: he’s met his match in Hela.

Hela (Cate Blanchet) wants to destroy Asgard and Thor’s people, but he is–at least initially–unable to stop her. Instead, he ends up imprisoned in Sakaar, a “barbaric planet,” where he meets Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and is forced to fight in gladiator matches until he’s able to find his way home.
