Girls Trip breakout star Tiffany Haddish killed it during her recent appearance on Saturday Night Live, and reportedly did so well that she closed deals on not one but two films following her memorable hosting gig.
The Jasmine Brand reports Haddish is set to join the ensemble of New Line’s The Kitchen. Directed by Straight Outta Compton screenwriter Andrea Berloff, the film is based on the comic book series by Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle for Vertigo from DC Entertainment. When the FBI does a sweep of Irish mafia bosses in Hell’s Kitchen, New York, their wives take over and run the mob more viciously than the guys ever did.
The stand-up comedian also set to star in Universal’s The Temp, to be produced by Will Packer, who also produced Girls Trip. Dana Fox will write the female-driven comedy.
The actress will also star in upcoming TBS comedy The Last OG with Tracy Morgan and be featured opposite Kevin Hart in the 2018 comedy Night School.
