Time magazine reveals the TIME 100, the magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. For the first time, the issue features seven separate covers, each featuring a member of the TIME 100. Jennifer Lawrence, Elon Musk, Rand Paul, Malala Yousafzai and Jay-Z each appear solo on the five domestic split covers.

Ten African-Americans make this year’s list, including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Michelle and Barack Obama, Frank Ocean, Valerie Jarrett, LeBron James, Shonda Rhimes, Miguel and California attorney general Kamala Harris. Cover subject Jay-Z is written about by New York mayor Michael Bloomberg. Other writers include Stevie Wonder on Justin Timberlake, Oprah Winfrey on Shonda Rhimes, John Legend on Frank Ocean and Maya Angelou on Michelle Obama.

The TIME 100 features often-surprising pairings of the influentials and the guest contributors Time selects to write about them. The 10th-annual list includes Oprah Winfrey on Shonda Rhimes, Derek Jeter on LeBron James, John Legend on Frank Ocean, Maya Angelou on Michelle Obama and more.

This April 29, 2013 issue of Time goes on sale Friday, April 19. Take a look at all seven covers here.
