Tina Turner is coming to Broadway—well, sort of.
A musical called Tina based on the life and storied career of Turner will make its debut on Broadway in the fall of 2019, Variety reports.
Decision on the cast, performance dates and where it will be held will be announced in the coming months.
“Bringing this musical to life on stage and working with this team has meant so much to me, I feel that it is in many ways a culmination of my career,” Turner said in a statement to Variety on Wednesday.
British audiences have already gotten a taste of the show; Tina debuted in London earlier this year.
The biopic What’s Love Got to Do With It, which chronicled Turner’s life, including her turbulent marriage to Ike Turner, was released in 1993 and starred Angela Bassett.
