While Martin is debatably one of the best sitcoms of the 1990s, many fans weren’t too thrilled to hear about the possibility of a 2018 reboot. It seems that the death of actor Thomas Ford and years-long tension between Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell-Martin would’ve meant a new spin on the story line that fans would rather not entertain.
Well, it appears one of those concerns is being handled, as the pair who once played Martin and Gina have been on much better terms as of late. In fact, the actress has confirmed to Hip Hollywood that they’ve discussed reuniting for the possible reboot, all but confirming her involvement.
“It has been an honor to be ‘Gina’ all these years, and it’s surprising that people still love those characters so much. I can’t tell you anything! But it’s very exciting,” she said.
It will be interesting to see how the reboot will address Ford’s death, but it seems that Martin, Gina, Pam and Cole will be hitting our small screens once again.
Here are a few reactions to the news.
