The trailer for Netflix’s biopic centered on the first female rapper to have a hit single, Roxanne Shanté, has finally been released.

On Thursday, Netflix released a preview of the film, which depicts the life of the artist during her upbringing in New York City’s Queensbridge Projects and coming of age as a rapper.

Shadow and Act reports up-and-coming actress Chanté Adams plays the New York rapper in the film.
