Trey Songz turned himself into law enforcement to face a domestic violence charge, TMZ reports.
On Monday, the singer, along with his lawyer, went to the LAPD over claims that he hit a woman in the face during last month’s NBA All-Star weekend. He was released on $50,000 bond, according to TMZ.
Andrea Buera alleges that Songz hit her because she was talking to another man.
Songz tweeted Monday morning that he had to comment because the claims are lies.
“I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain,” he wrote.”
For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me. I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain

In another tweet, he said he wouldn’t be discussing the incident or arrest any further.
“I won’t be speaking too much more on this but would like to thank you for all the prayers and support.”
