Wendy Williams has been open about her divorce from estranged husband Kevin Hunter. Unfortunately, political commentator Van Jones isn't as willing to publicly address the end of his marriage to his wife of 20 years, Jana Carter. Jones issued the talk show host a savage clapback for bringing up his divorce during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday.

Williams told her audience, "Van and his wife … they are getting a divorce." She added, "Your divorce is not finalized, [but] you still wear your ring."

Jones replied, "You got something on your hand, too, so I ain’t talking about that," in reference to a floral ring Williams has worn since news of her divorce was confirmed.

Stunned by Jones' rebuttal, Williams replied, "Excuse me. This side of the couch is for the asking of the questions. That side is for giving up the information," as she pointed to The Van Jones Show host.

Despite the shady exchange, Jones offered some insight into his split, calling his soon-to-be ex-wife "my best friend 20 years ago, and . . my best friend today."

In September, Jones confirmed that he and Carter, who share two children, were ending their marriage. "Divorce means the end of a marriage, not the end of a family. #FamilyForever," he wrote.

Earlier this month, Williams addressed her divorce from husband Kevin Hunter on her show. "I have to tell you, you know, I've been dealing with issues with addition, alcoholism, and I have a whole new life that I planned for myself and my son," she said. "Believe me you, when you lay in a room with no TV and four gray walls all day… this is my life in the sober house, it's one of the best things, honestly, that could have ever happened to me."
