VH1 has green-lit a sequel to the movie Drumline, according to Deadline. Nick Cannon will reprise his role from the original and will also executive produce the made-for-TV movie, which should come out this fall.
Drumline: A New Beat follows Dani, a girl from Brooklyn who heads to (a fictional) college in New Orleans in the hopes of becoming the school's first female section leader on the drumline.
