Alaya High, 11, better known as Lay Lay, landed a recording contract with EMPIRE. The internet sensation is known for her quick-witted freestyles from the front seat of her father’s car.
The Atlanta native took to Instagram to make the announcement Wednesday night. “It’s official!!! I am the YOUNGEST FEMALE RAP ARTIST to sign a record deal,” she wrote. High thanked her fans, the label, her DJ and her dad for making the achievement possible.
No details about the deal were given but High told fans to look out for “Go Lay Lay Go,” the first single off her debut project.
