Vivica A. Fox, 54, addressed what she is now looking for in a potential partner during an episode of the CBS talk show Face the Truth TV this week.

Fox, who co-hosts the show with attorney Areva Martin, clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Ho, Judge Mary Chrzanowski and life coach Rosie Mercado, used her past relationship issues to give advice to an audience member.

She said she previously valued superficial qualities over the things that matter.

“To be honest with you, for the longest time, I used to be like girlfriend," the actress said while pointing into the crowd. "Just one ole lustful little thing, a six-pack and a smile used to get me every time."

Fox said she has matured since her past relationships. “But now I’ve grown up and, honestly, I am looking for a good partner," Fox added.

"I need someone that’s going to make me laugh. I need someone that’s gonna make me smile. I want a man that, when I see him, he gives me butterflies and that every time his number pops up on my phone, that I get excited to see him.”

When a co-host suggested "good sex," Fox explained why a deeper connection is more important.

“I’m going to take the time to get to know some person because before, I used to put sex before getting to know a person—and trust me, I’m single,” she explained. “So now I’m taking the time to get to know someone that loves to travel, that loves sports, that loves to have fun, that enjoys life and got his own money.”

The actress has been in some high-profile relationships, including one with singer Christopher Harvest, to whom she was married from 1998 to 2002, and one with rapper 50 Cent, whom Fox has said was "the one that got away."
