Bruno Mars sprinkled his “24K Magic” around NYC and the city is better for it.

Smack in the middle of his “24K Magic World Tour,” Mars took viewers on a magical ride at the Apollo Theater as part of his CBS primetime special.

The one-night-only showcase kicked off with a ride through Harlem and highlighted Mars going door to door with flyers to promote the event. “Everywhere you go,” he said. “You can feel it. The city’s singing.”

From hair salons to street corners, Mars made his rounds and arrived at the legendary theatre to deliver a stellar performance of “24K Magic” on top of the Apollo marquee. Inside the theatre, Mars and the Hooligans launched into a show-stopping set that included “Finesse,” “Perm,” “Chunky,” and “Calling All My Lovelies.”

The soul singer spoke with CBS prior to the debut and shared how he developed his music for the live performance. “That’s my cheat code,” he said. “I think about, ‘Man, I have to perform songs every single night or every other night, I have to write songs that I’ll genuinely have fun performing,’ so half the battle is won. I’m hoping that the audience will see that and it will be contagious and infectious.”
