Wendy Williams' Day One fans know the talk show host ran East Coast radio for years before transitioning to television. Former sidekick Charlamagne Tha God went on to become one of the biggest voices in radio himself as co-host of Power 105's Breakfast Club.

The two media stars had not spoken since 2010 after a falling out that Charlamagne blamed on Williams' husband, Kevin Hunter, and Williams even went so far as to claim she didn't know her protegé back in 2014. Now that she's filed for divorce, however, the Black Privilege author has extended an olive branch to his former mentor, offering to take her out to dinner.

Williams shared the news with an excited Wendy Williams Show audience, saying Charlamagne called soon after news of her split went public asking to take her out. When she said she had plans with her's show DJ, DJ Boof, that night, he insisted on joining them on the date. Check out the clip below.

Charlamagne recently explained that Hunter and his alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, are the main reasons he and Williams lost contact with each other

“The reason Kevin Hunter and I fell out, and the reason why I don’t communicate with Wendy anymore is because of Sharina,” Charlamagne told Page Six last month, referencing a 2009 incident. “Kevin got upset because he thought Sharina liked one of my homeboys and he thought that I was hooking Sharina up [with other men].”

The South Carolina native believes Hunter was either hoping to start or had already begun an affair with Hudson at the time, and added, “Mind you, Kevin was married to Wendy at the time.”
